Backend Developer (Node.js) — Gitmir Ecosystem

Role
We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong Node.js expertise to join our team. You’ll be responsible for building and optimizing the server-side logic of applications created within Gitmir, integrating APIs, managing data flows, and ensuring performance and scalability. You will also contribute to the evolution of Gitmir’s backend capabilities, helping us expand the ecosystem with reusable modules and backend automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar).
  

• Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs for Gitmir-based applications.
  

• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of server-side logic.
  

• Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend APIs with Gitmir’s visual configurations.
  

• Contribute to Gitmir’s module library with reusable backend components.
  

• Support client migrations from legacy backend systems into Gitmir.
  

• Participate in architecture discussions and propose improvements.
  

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  

• Experience with backend frameworks (Express, NestJS, Koa, or similar).
  

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data (WebSockets).
  

• Hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
  

• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
  

• Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean).
  

• English proficiency for technical communication and documentation.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
  

• DevOps skills (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes).
  

• Contributions to open-source projects.
  

• Interest in no-code/low-code and visual development approaches.
